Chinese premier to chat with Internet users
BEIJING, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao will holdan online chat with Internet users around the country and overseason Sunday, the third such talk ahead of the plenary session ofChina's top legislature.
Wen will answer questions among those raised by netizens atwww.xinhuanet.com, the official site of the Xinhua News Agency, thewebsite announced on Saturday.
The chat scheduled for 9 a.m. (Beijing time) will be lively shownon the central government's website (www.gov.cn) andwww.xinhuanet.com in video, picture and text.
It will be the third time for the premier to hold such adiscussion before the National People's Congress, China's toplegislature, convenes its plenary session in March.
Wen jumped in his first ever online chat on Feb. 28, 2009 at thetwo sites, receiving questions from nearly 300,000 netizens andmobile phone users ranging from unemployment, wealth gap, socialjustice to democracy.
In last year's chat on Feb. 27, Wen pledged that the governmentwould step up efforts to rein in soaring property prices and manageinflation expectations.
