Qld: Bligh "not surprised" by close election result

Queensland Premier ANNA BLIGH says she's not surprised by the close result in the Northern
Territory election .. as the opposition's law and order campaign has been vicious.

The NT Labor government suffered a massive swing against it in yesterday's polls ..

and it could take days for the result to be known.

Ms BLIGH's told Sky News it's a bad result for Labor .. and a lesson for other governments.

She says she doesn't believe NT chief minister PAUL HENDERSON has become complacent
about the leadership.

With Queenslanders due to go to the polls by September next year .. there's been speculation
the BLIGH government will move on its strong position and call an early election.

But the premier says the government will serve its full term.
