NSW: Debnam tells stressed RTA workers to find another job

SYDNEY, Feb 21 AAP - Roads and Traffic Authority (RTA) "bureaucrats" struggling to
cope with work-related stress should "get another job", according to NSW Opposition Leader
Peter Debnam.

New figures, obtained under Freedom of Information laws, reveal one in five RTA officers
at any one time is on leave from mental stress, body stress or physical injury.

RTA officers rate alongside prison officers, police, nurses and firefighters in workers
compensation payouts, according to the figures obtained by The Daily Telegraph newspaper.
